We promote independent living with support.
Peacehaven & Telscombe Housing Association was formed in 1967 by a group of local residents. We provide sheltered housing for retired people at Dorothy House in Peacehaven. We promote independent living with the support of our caring staff. We are a charitable organisation registered with the Homes and Communities agency, National Housing Federation and Financial Conduct Authority. Our organisation is overseen by a dedicated voluntary Management Committee who involves themselves in all aspects of Dorothy House.
Our units are let on an Assured Tenancy Agreement and the affordable rent includes central heating, hot water, light, council tax and a daily home cooked lunch time meal. Our units are unfurnished and our facilities include a communal lounge, dining room, sun lounge and laundry. We also have a lift which serves three floors, a large car park and beautiful gardens.
Our residents live independent lives within a warm and caring environment. Care Plans are tailored to resident’s individual needs and aspirations. We actively encourage our residents to take part in our activities and benefit from the companionship within Dorothy House.
Our staff are on site during the day and then Carelink Control Centre take over during out of hours periods. In the event of an emergency or a resident needing help our own local staff are ready to respond.
